What is an Ebook?
An ebook is an electronic book – essentially a book in a digital format which can be downloaded and read on your Mac/PC. They are very versatile as plain text files or can have elements of interactivity and come in many formats, with the mostly widely used being PDF, exe and Word doc.
Do I need any specialist software to read an Ebook?
Most Ebook can be accessed using the default settings on your computer. After double clicking on the ebook icon, the ebook should automatically open in the correct software package. Ebooks with PDF formats will use Acrobat Reader to open the book file and can be identified with the file extension being displayed as .pdf. If this is not already installed on your computer, the lastest version can be downloaded and installed from www.adobe.com. Ebooks in Word format will require Microsoft Word software and can be identified using the file extension .doc. Other common ebook files come in .exe format which is an extractable file able to be opened on any PC running Microsoft Windows operating system. You will be able to access these .exe files through Winzip extracting software with this facility available on your PC.
When will I get a download of my purchase?
After you have made your payment through the PayPal or credit card process, your payment will take a few minutes to be verified. When the payment has been accepted, we will receive notification from your preferred payment service. Once we have received this, an e-mail confirmation will be sent to you confirming the transaction and inviting you to use the specified password and link url to then download your purchase.
Can I use any method of payment?
We can accept any credit and debit card payment using the PayPal secure payment procedures. Don’t worry if you haven’t opened a PayPal account – you can make a payment through PayPal even if you don’t hold an account. For non PayPal account holders please use the ‘secure checkout’ option which will allow you to pay by simply entering your card details.
