Nice brief review of simple swing trade set-up,
Although there are “7” strategies, there is in fact a fair bit of overlap in those strategies. Basically the book covers two or three day oversold (overbought) identifiers against the long term trend, as defined by the 200 day sma. So buy the sharp dips in a bull market and short the rallies during a bear market. Not exactly earth shaking ideas.
I appreciate that he has back-tested the most liquid ETF’s and gives results for his strategies which as expected have a high win rate but a low profit % per trade.
The book is well written and easy to understand, and can serve as a good starting point for beginner to intermediate level traders. As expected from Connors, there is advertising for his (expensive IMHO) products.

Lots of good information in the book, although it helps if one has read some of Conners more recent books. I am just switching from Mutual Funds as we know them to ETF’s. One has the feeling when applying his methods it would be great if he would share more of how to apply methods in addition to the very good verifications shown.
A worthwhile purchase, be sure to buy the paperback edition it is quite a bit cheaper.

This book seems to be in part a commercial for the author’s services and partly a description of several trading strategies. The strategies are rather simple and most use the same few indicators. I assume that when the market decouples from the dollar, these strategies will work.
