Lines can’t hold a stick to candles and yes, Nison has helped light them “in the west”.
However I found this particular DVD/Book collection to be over priced. And sleep inducing to boot. The tendency of his early publicists to evoke images of “ancient trading secrets of the orient revealed” makes one squirm. I was thus relieved to find he does NOT sit cross-legged like a mysterious Buddha and have an adoring Geisha bonging a giant gong every time he says another saying.
For those of us that actively sail the market winds, price action IS key. Candles provide great visuals, and Nison is well qualified to speak on them. The book that accompanies the DVDs makes a decent reference.
Nison does caution (now and then) not to RELY on chart patterns alone as reasons to trade. Given the hugely subjective element of reading patterns (be they in the stars, leaves or charts), not to mention the dern pesky uncertainty principle – THAT point is worth a gong indeed.
