BookWorm Read Everything But Still Lost Money,
That pretty much sums it up about me. Many years ago, I was totally stoked about stocks and proceeded to read as many books as I could get my hands on, absorbing as much information as I could. I was determined to succeed no matter what. It didn’t seem all that hard and besides I was an intelligent person. Year after year, however, my account statements kept dwindling. It seemed none of the books I’ve read helped me. Perhaps it was just me. Perhaps I wasn’t psychologically built to handle the markets, which turned out to be harder than I first envisioned. Or perhaps many of the books I’ve read didn’t put things together for me so I can be profitable. I mean, I’m not a stupid person nor am I a gambler. Furthermore, I’m an avid reader of anything related to the stock market. I’m not dyslexic. I understand the books I read.
Here’s what I think my problem had been all along. I was told by many books that I have to be profitable as soon as I enter the trade. I was to wait for a perfect setup and then buy or short a stock. If it goes the other way, I’m supposed to cut my loss with a stoploss. How many people can actually do this and not get whipsawed to death by commission costs and spreads? I don’t know any human who can do this religiously. Every time I cut my loss, that is still a loss and I have to gain back more on a percentage basis just to get back to break even. I don’t know how many times I’ve bought a stock and it goes down and I take my loss, only to see the stock rocket higher without me. It’s such a debilitating and hopeless feeling. And then I jumped back in, only to get stopped out again and again.
Chris’ book and his system totally changed my outlook on approaching the stock market the right way. His system allows me to keep on owning a stock even though it goes down after I buy it. I own the stock that I love as long as I want and make a move whenever I feel like it and when I feel the setup is perfect. It’s such a wonderful feeling to be able to do this. I’m no longer scared of owning my favorite stocks. I can own the stocks as long as I want and trade them the way I want to trade them.
I highly recommend this book. It will make all the difference in the world for you, as it did for me. Just be sure to read it carefully and really try to understand what Chris is telling you about what works. It has been estimated that 95-98% of all traders will lose money in the long run. Do you really want to do things the old way? If you follow the recommendations of some of the books out there, you’re doing things the old way. Even though the other authors may have good intentions, some of the things they recommend cannot be done by humans but by robots.
I saw Chris call out real time trades and investments and was impressed. I’m sure new readers will be impressed as well. He is one of the very few who actually timestamps his trades while many talk theories and complicated (and useless) data but when it comes to push and shove they refuse to timestamp to prove their systems actually work as they say. Chris is the real deal. His book is definitely the best stock market book I’ve ever read. Any value investor who has ever thought about crossing the chasm into the world of trading should make this book a priority. You definitely want to put this book on your wishlist so you don’t forget to buy it. If you think value investing is the only way to make real money in the long term, Chris has a secret to tell you. I want to learn from someone who made verified 200% annualized returns in 2007-2009 where most people blew up. Miraculously, Chris did not trade risky options, penny stocks, futures or derivatives during the recession – just old-fashion stocks.
If I could give this book a perfect 10 stars, I would. It’s just a remarkable book with a sensible approach the majority of people missed to their detriment. I don’t remember much of all the books I’ve ever read on investing throughout the years because they haven’t really worked for me, but I’m sure ten years from now I’ll still remember Chris’ book and his teachings. It’s just a great, complete and very unique book. Even dividend investing may have to take a backseat to this powerful system. By the way, I think this book is being sold way too cheaply for the tremendous and potentially life-changing value it gives. Just one person’s opinion, of course.
I say it again, this is a great book if you understand the implications on investing. There will be detractors who will disagree and think they know better. I want to end this (admittedly lengthy) testimonial with a quote from Warren Buffett a long time ago, when he realized he could get rich:
“On my honeymoon I traveled out west. When I visited the casino and saw all these smart well-dressed people participating in a game with the odds against them, it was then that I realized I won’t have a…

|Better than ‘The Intelligent Investor’,
This book is amazing. Before I bought it I thought it was just all hype by newbie stock market investors who didn’t know what they were talking about. I’ve read many investing and trading books from various well-known money managers and professional traders. I’ve also read the classics from the likes of Ben Graham and Philip Fisher. I thought I’ve seen everything and have tried many things but could not achieve the type of profitability that I had dreamt of achieving. The path to stock market riches still seemed elusive. I was always torn between investing and trading. Should I do one or should I do the other? Which one is more profitable? Neither approach produced respectable returns for me. I often felt the stock market was rigged and only the very rich had inside information to get richer.
Chris Beanie’s book absolutely blows the lid off for me. Now everything is so much clearer. I felt electricity down my spine as I was reading the most important passages of the book. It was like multiple light bulbs all turning on at the same time. Though the concepts are fairly simple, the way Beanie puts them all together for immediate action is quite stunning. Honestly, I don’t think I could have figured this out in a hundred years, if ever. This book just saved me 20-50 years, possibly more, in the learning curve to making money in the stock market.
Don’t hesitate to buy this highly practical book. It won’t disappoint. If I had to choose between this book or The Intelligent Investor going forward, I would pick this book. But don’t take my word for it — decide for yourself.

|Unbelievably Good And Complete System,
I’ve been trading stocks for years and never really attained much success. Until, on a whim, I decided to buy this book. I don’t buy any book or seminar anymore until I see good results produced by the author. Chris, according to Covestor, made over 200% in 2008 and 200% in 2009 in his trading account and that was impressive. I thought I knew everything about trading stocks. Well, I did, but I never was able to put everything together as a complete dependable money-generating system. Chris’ book helped me with that and I’m forever grateful.
Anybody not reading this book is going to be so far left behind. Nothing I’ve read out there has more common sense and power than Chris’ book. I guarantee it. The book is destined for greatness.
